  6. What does it do?
  7.         FC Settings Updater will update your First Class† Settings file with custom additions, which may include a splash screen, custom icons, and background pictures, as set up by your Admin.

  9. How do I use it?
  10.         Run the upater, PAY ATTENTION TO THE WARNING ABOUT ONLY USING A COPY OF YOUR SETTINGS FILE, and just open your COPY of your MacStation Settings file.
  11. FCSU will first ask you to open the install file- select the
  12. install file and click ok. Then you will be asked to select
  13. your settings file. Select the COPY of your settings file
  14. and click ok. It will be automatically updated. Currently the settings file MAY corrupt if it encounters a serious error. BE SURE to run it on a copy.
  15.         Run this ONLY on the settings file for the BBS it is intended for. Running it on other settings files will overwrite any custom resources they have.

  17. What about my userId, password, and setup?
  18.     Because the updater only ADD'S the custom resources to the file, you do not need to re-enter your password, userid, or settings. But be sure to only run the updater on a copy!

  21.         Use this ONLY on a COPY of your settings file, in case something goes wrong.

  24.         Distribute this updater freely, as long as you do not charge for it and you include the 'FCSU Readme', the 'FCSU Admin Readme', and the 'Blank FCSU Installer File'
